Tips for codes that scan
- Use a dark code on a light background. The tool warns you if the colors are too close.
- Print it at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide, and larger for signs.
- Leave the white border around the code; scanners need it.
- Test with your phone before printing hundreds.
Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The information is stored in the code itself. If you change your website address, make a new code.
Can I track scans?
Not with static codes. To measure scans, point the code to a page on your website with tracking in its address.
PNG or SVG?
PNG works everywhere for screens and small prints. SVG scales to any size without blur, which printers prefer for signs and vehicle graphics.
