Every finished job is an advertisement. Put a yard sign out front and door hangers on the neighbors’ doors, each with a QR code that opens your website. Your details fill in from the contractor website builder or your Brand Kit. Everything happens in your browser; nothing is uploaded to Advanton.

Printing your yard signs
- Size: 18 x 24 in, landscape or portrait, the most common size for yard signs.
- Your file: save the print-ready PDF, or download the PNG (150 dpi with 1/8 in bleed). Both include the bleed print shops ask for.
- Material: most print shops print yard signs on 4 mm corrugated plastic and supply wire H-stakes. Ask whether you want one or both sides printed.
- Check the QR code with your phone before you order a batch.
Printing your door hangers
- Size: 4.25 x 11 in, front and back. Your print shop cuts the hanger hole and slit with its standard door hanger die; the red dashed lines in the preview show where.
- At home: print two per sheet of Letter paper, double-sided (flip on long edge), then cut along the middle and the dashed lines.
- At a print shop: save the PDF (front and back pages) or download the 300 dpi PNG files.
Tips that bring in calls
- Make the phone number huge. The maker sizes it as large as possible, so it can be read from the street.
- Keep it short. Your service, your name, your number and a QR code. Drivers have a few seconds.
- Tell people what the QR code does, such as "Scan for a free estimate", but only if your estimates are free.
- Show your license number where your state requires it in advertising.
The rules to follow
- Get permission before placing a sign in a customer’s yard, and check your city’s sign rules and any HOA rules.
- Never put door hangers in mailboxes. Federal law prohibits placing unstamped items in mailboxes. Hang them on door handles.
- Respect "No soliciting" signs.
- Only advertise offers you will honor, and keep every claim truthful.
