How to use the explorer
Pick an indicator, then add up to ten countries or regions by typing their names. Switch between four views:
- Trend shows how each country has changed over time. Hover over the chart, or use the arrow keys, to read the values for any year.
- Ranking lists every country for one year, with your selection highlighted. Click a country to add it.
- Map shades the world by value. Zoom to a region, hover for figures and click a country to add it.
- Table gives the exact numbers for your selection, year by year.
Every view has a link you can copy and share. You can also download the data as a spreadsheet file (CSV), download the chart as an image, get a ready-made citation or embed the chart on your own website.
Country pages
Each country has its own page with a short summary, key figures, every indicator compared with the world average and a ranking among all countries.
