Get Hurricane Irma Disaster Loan offered by the US Small Business Administration

SBA US is offering disaster loans at low-interest rates to the residents of Florida that were impacted by the Hurricane Irma. These loans can be helpful to cover the costs of damages not covered by your insurers.

According to the Florida Office insurance regulation, the insurers have filed over 180,000 claims as of October 13, 2017.

According to the SBA over 3400 disaster loans have been approved for the residents of Florida that were impacted by the hurricane Irma totaling over $129 million in payments.

There are two types of hurricane Irma disaster loan offered by the SBA US:

Physical Property Damage – This loan is available to the businesses of all sizes, non-profits, home owners and renters to cover up their damages that were either uninsured or can’t be claimed. The disaster loans are offered at very low interest rates of 1.75 percent for the home owners to 3.3 percent for the small business owners. The loan repayment tenure is up to 30 years.

Deadline for the loan Application: The US Small Business Administration wants people to apply for the disaster loan as early as possible to cover up the cost of their damages due to hurricane Irma and resume their normal lives. The last date to apply loan is Nov. 9, 2017 and applications can be filed online here:  https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela/

Economic Injury Loans – These loans are specifically for the Small Businesses and not-for-profit organizations and are provided to cover up the working capital needs such as for paying debts, payroll and other bills that could have been paid if the disaster had not occurred.
